When it comes to writing retreats, there are many out there that can give you the time and space to contemplate your narrative, while also meeting like-minded individuals with whom to share your work and enjoy the company of other scribes.
That being said, some folks find such gathering the opposite of conducive to the writing process.
Personally, I find that writing in isolation is the most productive way for me to pound out the words on the page.
Whatever your cup of tea ends up being, my advice is to try different options and combinations of company and isolation to figure out what type of company or lack thereof works best for you.
